Pastor’s Wives Panel

This one is for our dear wives. The pastor’s wife.

Mary Mohler leads a panel with three other “seasoned ministry wives.”  In the first hour they talk about expectations and priorities in their role. In the second hour they focus on the family.

Kristie Anyabwile is the wife of Pastor Thabiti Anyabwile, senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. They have been married for 20 years and have three children by birth, and several adult “adopted” children who have become a part of their family. Kristie is passionate about mentoring young women and watching them grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

Lauren Chandler is the wife of Pastor Matt Chandler, lead teaching pastor at The Village Church in Dallas, TX. They have three young children. Texas. Lauren is passionate about writing music and leading worship, not only at The Village Church, but also for groups across the country. The Lord has taken Matt and Lauren on a challenging journey, beginning with the November 2009 discovery of Matt’s malignant brain tumor. They have developed a deep trust in clinging to the Lord and his promises.

Mary Mohler is the wife of Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., president of Southern Seminary. They have been married for almost 29 years and have two young adult children, Katie and Christopher. Mary is the founder and director of Seminary Wives Institute, an academic program for student wives and is passionate about equipping and encouraging them as they prepare for ministry alongside their husbands.

Jani Ortlund is the wife of Dr. Ray Ortlund, pastor of Immanuel Church in Nashville, TN. They have four married children and seven grandchildren. She is the executive vice president of Renewal Ministries and loves spending her energies connecting women with the Word of God. Serving Jesus Christ through writing, speaking, and discipling are her chief passions in life. She is the author of Fearlessly Feminine.
